Shade of Gold for Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year was coming earlier this year and it comes to my surprise that January almost ended already. I have no idea if it's only me but lately I feel like time flies way too fast. Anyway, this year I decided to have a break on collecting cheongsam every Chinese New Year. Not only because I didn't find suitable pieces this year, but I think the collection had grown quite a lot and it would be such a waste if I didn't have a chance to wear them after Chinese New Year.

Play with Make Up!

Okay actually I'm kinda confused with the title. I'm bored with those assignments and I ended up playing with my make-up. xD

I'm trying to achieve a look that suit me with a pink lip color .;) I'm wearing Revlon Lip Butter in Cupcake (gonna review later!) which actually a good shade but looks kinda pale on me if I wear it alone. In fact I didn't plan to post this look since it's just a lame experiment of mine. I even didn't put on any eyeshadow.But I still ended up camwhoring. Hahaha...so please bear with it.

Chinese New Year Look

Just wanna share my Chinese New Year look... today my BF asked me to go out with him and visit his family.. :D so I'd prepared my Chinese Girl outfit...

My DSLR can't cooperate well with the colors.. My make up color washed out.. >.> I'd tried in so many different lighting, technique, etc but still can't find the right one... and I woke up late! So I'm in a hurry... xO so pardon my make up if it's a little bit messy >.< please bear with it...

I'm so excited to do this look since I was a child.I adore cheongsam (chinese traditional dress) so much!! But never had a chance to try it on..so this year I had decided to buy one and wear it on Chinese New Year! Actually I have several tops with cheongsam upper design, but never own a real one in a dress type.So I just try achieve a simple cute and girly look...And since I was in a hurry, I have no time to do my hair too.. so I just do a simple braid it on both side..:)

I feel quite satisfied with the results... my BF said that I look different than usual.. xD his mom even told me I looks so cute in that dress.. *happy to the max* hahaha...


I spent this afternoon eat so many dim sum with him at The Duck King.*chinese typically isn't it?* We ordered so many kind of dim sum... For your information,dim sum are always welcome to my food list.. can't resist... After that we find for a dessert and decide to eat egg tart at Golden Egg Tart.. Super delicious!! All food tasted really good and not too expensive.. I might wanna make a food post later. :) They're just too good ...I'll definitely come back for their dim sum! xD


But.... I forgot to take a picture of the whole dress.. really in such a hurry.. >.<

Did you realize that I dye my hair? ... The color hasn't showed up properly.. so I think I will dye it one more time...

Review : Maybelline Gel Liner

Hi everyone.. I'm back with another review :3.. I'm really interested with eyeliner lately. But nowadays  there's so many products with a great quality. It makes me hard to choose. Then I saw this! Maybelline Gel Liner in Brown..The price is reduced for clearance sale at Nona Lenongholic. Actualy I prefer to buy another black eyeliner. But I think I could give it a try since it gained so many good reviews.

And here it is, my new baby.

It's really tiny and I'm a little bit surprised.. I expected something bigger..but since you just need a little amount to apply, I guess it comes with the right amount :)

Rub it several times again...it faded off a little bit.. but I guess we won't rub our eyelid that hard.. 

Wash it with soap

Clean it with Maybelline Make-Up Remover.. Cleaned easily with several light swipe..

No stain!

My Personal Opinion
I love the brown color. Sometimes brown eyeliner, especially the liquid and gel type, looks similar with black eyeliner. But not this one. :) It's a nice medium brown with a hint of shimmer. The texture is more creamy than gel.Just dip the brush a little bit to the pot, you can draw the line easily on your lashline. The brush itself is quite stiff, make it easy to draw a line. I feel like painting on the paper with my art-brush at the moment.
This is the first time I'm using a gel liner, and I know why people are saying that using gel liner is really easy even for a newbie. :)

This is really good for daily use too. But if you have an oily lid, it might fade away faster. I use this for about 8 hours and it's stay still except if I accidentally rub my eyes, it faded away a little bit.

-Soft brown color, really good for daily use!

CONS :

-Not really travel friendly. It's kinda troublesome when you have to bring the brush and the pot together while pencil or liquid eyeliner are more handy for travelling. And you have to clean the brush immediately after using.
-Smudge and faded faster for those who have an oily lid. You should use eye primer before use this :)

Review : Viva Cosmetics (Make-Up)

As promised, today I'm going to review about what's inside my Viva package. I'm going to separate it into two different post, one for the make-up products and another one for the skincare products.

First one, the lipstick. I got the lipstick in no 51. It's a bright red with a little shimmer. It has some sweet scent but it doesn't bother me at all. And it's really pigmented. But no worry..you can control the color by pressing it lightly.It turns out really good on me :)

Ingredients

Beeswax, Camauba Wax, Ozokerite, Mineral Oil & Lanolin Alc., Octyl Palmitate, Squalane, Butyrospermumparkii, BHT, Propyl Paraben, Castor Oil, CI 77019, C1 77491, CI 15850:1, Perfume

Swatch it on my hand.

This is the swatch on my lips. I tried some combinations to achieve the color that I want. :)

The color looks so soft in the photo but actually you can see how pigmented it is in 1x light swipe. I put it on the inner part and then gently smudge it outside a little bit. And I like the combination with my lipgloss. It's really good even for daily use. My mom said, she likes the color too.. x3 since I don't use lipstick a lot, I guess this will be her favorite one. She loves bright red lipstick color and it suits her very well. Usually I prefer liquid lip color, lip tint, or just colored lip gloss instead of lipstick. 

The bad thing about this product is it's kinda dried my lips. The texture itself is quite dry too. So make sure you had your lipbalm before use this. 

Next.. move on to the face powder! I got mine in Natural Shade. It's a little bit darker than my Skinfood l/p.

Talc, CI 77891, Zinc Stearate, Zinc Oxide, Calcium Carbonate, CI 77492, Magnesium Carbonate, Perfume, CI 77491, Methylparaben

Afterall it still suits with my skin tone though :)

The only things that bothers me is the fragrance. It's kinda stings me a little bit, but it's just for a moment. :) 

Next next, the last one. The Duo Eyeshadow! I got mine in No.2. Yellow and Brown Color. It's quite pigmented. :)

Without Eye Primer.. don't have any >_<

The colors is pretty good. But when I smudge it a little bit, it's disappear immediately, but it might because I didn't use eye primer. But the color turn out really good even without primer. I love the brown color :D

Time for  FOTD. I guess the theme is red! I used to wear red color a lot in real life...My clothes, my bag, my books, my phone case, and many more. Red is really my favorite color, especially the bright one. Many people said, red suits me really well.. Do you guys think the same??

Since I'm breakout really bad lately, still not use much make up.
