Holiday season is getting near. I always been really excited when this time comes around. I enjoyed the vibe to celebrate precious moments either with my family or friends. I love to arrange a good celebration, looking out for gifts, and make sure everyone feels happy.
Last week, SK-II was having an exhibition at Mal Kelapa Gading 3 and invited me to join the festive bloggers party. I was wondering what kind of exhibition it would be since I attend their exhibition earlier this year. What makes it different with their previous exhibition is they come up with a new concept to celebrate the upcoming festive season. Let's see if you can spot what kind of design that they come up with this year.
Based on their philosophy to change destiny and inspired from the process of transformation, SK-II work together with several artists to create the 'Wings of Change'. It takes the form of butterflies and hummingbird to represent the characteristic of transformation which are boldness, encouragement, and perseverance.
A short movie about the Wing of Change.
BOLDNESS
ENCOURAGEMENT
PERSEVERANCE
These are Facial Treatment Essence Bottle in new design.
Each series are so amazingly beautiful and nicely designed. They created the butterflies in 3D shapes to give a lively impression on the container. SK-II also provides a matching gift boxes and you can arrange the gift-box according to your preference... how lovely.
Later on, Oscar Daniel, makeup artist for SK-II, showed us how to create three different kind of look based on the three personatilites from SK-II. It is really amazing that such simple concept can be applied into different kind of things.
The results for make-up look inspired from Boldness, Encouragement, and Perseverance.
SK-II also invited several key-speaker to share about their personal experience with SK-II. Most of them believe that using SK-II had changed their life and it is such a great thing to share good things to all of our beloved person, especially in this joyful moment.
And here is my pick from SK-II Wings of Change....
I think it could be a perfect gift for everyone from all ages. :)
These all SK-II limited edition design are available now in all counters. Hopefully you'll get some inspiration for this year Christmas gift for your beloved. :) I'll see you soon on the next post.
The first time I was introduced into the makeup artistry and beauty industry, I was overwhelmed by a lot of things. There are a lot of things I need to understand. When I started to learn about make-up, I don't know the benefits of primer, the importance of countouring, blending, and tons of other make-up techniques. I thought it was normal since it is not my expertise and I only need more practice.
The more I learn about it, the more time I spent to put on my make-up. I'm worry if I didn't do my makeup neatly. There are times I feel kinda frustrated when I didn't get things right or tired when I need to do A-Z thing only to go out with friends.
In graphic design world where I am working on, designers are advised to learn from tons of inspiration in order to deepen their taste and imagination. There are no absolute boundaries about it. There are no guidance about what's good or bad. From what I had experienced, what I usually do is simply take things that I could use and keep the others that I don't need for the other time as a reference.
I think the same rules is applied in my beauty routine. Honestly, I enjoyed learning about the new techniques and trends but in the end I was the one who decide about what kind of look I would like to pull out on myself.
It is fine to go out without your makeup on.
It is fine to draw an imperfection eyeliner.
It is fine to wear no lipstick.
It is fine to leave your brows as how it is.
It is fine to have red hair.
It is fine to have a messy buns.
There are nothing wrong with a heavy smokey eyes or red lips, but I would prefer to wear them on occasional events such as wedding party. There are nothing wrong with no makeup look because I want things to be simple for my daily routine.
The same thing goes for how I love dressed in pastel color and flower pattern when I'm feeling kinda sweet or the boyish kinda look when I go out with the boys. I love how I define myself in various way and I am proud of it.
I have my own preference when it comes to how I describe myself. If there's anyone who talk unpleasantly about how you do things, just take it as a good critics. We will not get hurt from learning though.
Last but not least, have your own confidence shine through whatever you put on the outside and be yourself :)
Happy birthday to the one of inspiring female network that I'd ever known. I feel like I had learn and grown so much since the first time I joined into the community.
I believe most of us are familiar with Panasonic brand so I guess we don't need any further explanation about the brand itself. But if I could ask, what is the first thing that comes in your mind when you heard about Panasonic? As for me, I am personally think about various electronic items or house appliances. The next thoughts would be their range of camera, televisions, audio, etc. I could simply highlight their specialty in technology development. So, imagine if Panasonic make a good use of their expertise in technology for beauty tools?
Last week, I was invited by Female Daily to attend 'Discover the Beauty of the Future with Panasonic Beauty' at Female Daily HQ along with other bloggers. I am pretty excited since we have a special privileges to try on the tools plus get an expertise insights from the professionals about how to use them properly.
