Pond's 101 Acne Class : Pond's Acne Solution Launching

In August, Ponds invited me to come and join their event by sending this invitation to my home.

I was really excited but I thought that I wouldn't make it in the first place because the venue is way too far. >_< Then later on, Endi told me that he would like to come together with me to the event so I have a companion. :D *so happy*
I have such a really perfect score in every subject LOL :9

When I arrived, I was kinda surprised because PONDS team had changed the whole room into a  highschool area. They had their own library, canteen, basketball court, and also a UKS (a medical center at school). I suddenly missed my highschool and feel so old already.
Source : Utotia

They also prepare this cute board (a.k.a mading) in the corner to take our picture.

Me with my blonde sister, Endi.

We were also given a true-false quiz paper and turned out no one can answer it all correctly. o.o

I couldn't tell how much I was impressed every time I come to PONDS event. It feels like you will always be surprised by them. They always come up with a creative and interesting concept. Just like when I come to their previous Polkadot Party event. :)

We were gathering at the UKS class and our fun-good-looking teacher, dr. Eddy Karta Sp.KK, started to explain about 10 most common problem for teens.

Do you know that 6 of 10 teens EVER HAD a problem with oily skin and acne?

Although I'm no longer a teenager, but I understand how does it feel since I was also one of them. I was having a hard time back then to fight against acne and oily skin. Moreover, acne is the worst confidence killer in my opinion. It feels embarassed to hang around the school with acne.

Ms. Debora told us how teen's skincare has evolved these days. It's not only about keeping their skin clean but also manage how to fight oily skin and acne. Well, it's not surprising this little acne could be really annoying, right?

The presentation was pretty serious and fun in the same time. They dig out everything about acne clearly and yet still have some fun regarding fact about acne's myth.
For example when dr. Eddy told us that getting angry is not good for your skin. So, don't get angry too often, ladies :P

Myth or Facts!

Can you guess which one is the fact?

This session is really helpful because sometimes we aren't really sure about it. Several things that I thought as fact turned out wrong! o.o

Based on their research, PONDS Institute finally reveal 10 most common teen's skin problems which are oily skin, acne, dull skin, blackheads, whiteheads, enlarged pores, dark spots, kulit kasar, uneven skin tone, and redness caused by acne's inflamation.

Therefore they launch the Complete Solution range to eliminate all the problems
with three simple steps(which I will reveal in my next post).

Here all the products for real ;)
They will be available soon in the nearest store.

We were also given a chance to ask about anything that we want to know about the products and acne itself. I come home with lots of new knowledge about acne, do and don't with acne, etc.

And we are finally graduated from PONDS 101 Acne Class!
Our graduation picture. :D

Not forget to pose with my beautiful classmates
Do we look like in our 17's?

Thanks a lot to PONDS who had invited me to this event. I had a really good time and I will REVEAL the Complete Solution THREE STEPS soon! Make sure you didn't miss it!

Review : EOS Jewelry Blue Review

I think I could never get enough of contact lenses. I always browse through new brand and new pattern of contact lenses.

Actually I bought this for a long time but I'd just realized that I haven't made a review about it.
 EOS Jewelry Blue

Price : around $12-15
The pattern is beautiful, right?

And make sure not to wear it backwards because you could appear like an alien in sudden. You can notice by looking at the black line in the pattern. The right side will show more intense black color (the right lens). The left side was the one that should face your eyes directly..

The color is really intense under direct light but it looks natural when your eye aren't not exposed to the light. And it has been my favorite lens ever since and I often wear it for daily basis (even for my final thesis presentation). It might looks too much in photo with flash and strong light. But trust me, it doesn't look that obvious in real life.

Great for daily or even special occasion. I was trying to make use of my blue kimono lol.

See? In this photo, the color isn't as bright as the previous photo but still noticeable.  Most of blue lenses that I tried were too dark or too bright. So it's just perfectly like what I want. The enlargement effect is also quite natural and it could go with a single line of eyeliner like what I did. It doesn't make me looks like an alien or what. Now you know why I love them very much!

It is also comfortable to wear for 6-8 hours before it started to feel itchy and you need to use your eye drops to prevent it from drying. It is normal for me. I usually take it out once I feel it is uncomfortable and let my eye to rest. Do not force yourself when it feels uncomfortable and the eye drops doesn't help much. :)

WHAT I LOVE
-Nice color and pattern
- Comfortable to wear
- Can be used for daily

WHAT I DON'T REALLY LOVE
-

I would love to try another series from EOS but still cannot decide haha. If you're going to buy EOS lens, you can browse them through Dreamie Chuppa. They often have special promotion for contact lenses and also have a great service. :D

Disclaimer : This is not sponsored post. I bought these lenses with my own money.

Welcome to the Club 22's

It's just another story that happened I opened my birthday present. Nothing special... well.

So, I wake up so late on my birthday because I had to stay awake to open the most hilarious present that I ever had. Since it was also Saturday, I and Pat decided to go out. Without any plan or idea.

P : Are you hungry?
G : Yes. But we're going to HolyCow Steak later. (The resto open at 5.00 pm and it was 3.00 pm at the moment)
P : Hungry already. *grumpy face*
G : Let's find something to eat at the mall then.
P : *see a Padang resto nearby* What about Nasi Padang?
G : Heh?
P : Okay, do you want to go or not? *clarify*
G : Yeah yeah... you must be so damn hungry already.
P : Why? You also like it, don't you?.
G : You should be thankful for having me as your GF. I dressed up already and you bring me to Padang resto because you are hungry.
P : Hahahaha at least I bring you to expensive Padang Resto and not the cheap one. (wtf... we ALWAYS eat there if he was craving for Nasi Padang)

So the first session of our lovey date is eating the-so-expensive Nasi Padang.

After that, I picked MOI as our next destination randomly because it's easier to find a parking spot there on weekends. We went to Blitzmegaplex to check if there any good movies and decided to watch Elysium. The miracle is ... we still have enough balance to pay our ticket so we feel like not spending any money. LOL. We still have 2 hours before the movie begin so we decided to buy some breads. Actually we want to bring the breads into the theater. While passing Starbucks store, I asked Pat.

G : Hey did you bring our Starbucks Card? (it is a membership card with balance inside to purchase Starbucks products)
P : Ah, good idea. *go buy some drinks*
G : Is it enough?
P : Of course.
G : Wah, I feel like rich people today. Buy this and that without paying.
P : Well, I have a really good investment in these cards.
G : ....

And there he is with the results of his good investment (a.k.a. Starbuck's Vanilla Latte)

Me in dressed-up mode
Dressing up means I wear more girly clothes because Pat always said my jeans and T-shirt are sucks LOL (yeah you will understand why when you live in Jakarta)

The movie started at 6.00 pm and ended around 8.00 pm so we're kinda late for dinner. When we arrived at HolyCow, I saw bunch of people were queuing. :( So we decided to find another resto and we go to the nearby resto in Sunter, Terrace Cafe. Suprisingly, Pat could choose something good this time LOL.

And it's really surprising that they shape our rice into heart shape. :D

;') I am touched. They shaped all the rice that we ordered in heart shape including the additional rice LOL. The meal tasted really nice. Not forget to mention the huge dessert that we ordered.

Banana split *.* my favorite all the time. I love everything with ice cream!

They are really huge in portion. o_o

And the price it quite affordable as for us. It's just we order too much because Pat was keep saying,"It's your birthday so just order anything that we want." I will definitely come back again to this place. xD

There's nothing particular thing that I want except a better life, a better career in the future, and also a long lasting relationship with him. :)

Healthy Face Movement for Etude House

So finally I could finished my very first video tutorial and succesfully uploaded it after 8 hours!! Whoaaa internet connection was very slow ._.

Basically it's about how I do my morning - night routine, about how I apply my skincare, how I cleanse my face and how I do my daily makeup. :D I did this video to support the Healthy Face Movement Campaign from Etude House Indonesia that I'd shared before.

To be honest I'm not really satisfied T_T It's really hard to shoot the whole process by myself and make sure it is all good. Another reason is because Pat refuses to help me! He was agree to help me in the beginning and when I'm ready ... he's gone (playing Candy Crush wtf! hahaha). I was also trying to do a voice over but I'm afraid I couldn't make it on time because it will need more time to do. But I will try my best to make a better one in the future :D

If there's any comment or suggestion, please let me know so I can improve it in the next video.

Review Shu Uemura PORERASER UV Under Base Mousse

Everyday is summer in Jakarta. You can burn yourself if you're doing activities under sun exposure without any protection. So you'd probably understood why using sunscreen is really important then. But sometimes, putting layers of skincare could take so much time. Shu Uemura invented this beautiful item which combined both sunscreen and primers.
Shu Uemura PORERASER UV Under Base Mousse with SPF 35 PA++.

The bottle was made of metals with a plastic pump. Kinda remind me with face spray. So you don't have to worry if you drop it accidentaly because it won't leak except you smash it on to the floor xD. They come in two different undertones which is Pink and Beige. Mine is Beige since I have yellow undertone.

As you can guess from its name, it comes in mousse formula which is really really light and easy to spread. You only need a little amount of product for every single use. As for me, I only use around 1/2 pump as one pump gives out too much product and it will be a waste. Just press the pump lightly. You can use your finger or facial sponge to apply it.

It will melt after 20-30 seconds into runny consistency and can be blended easily on your skin.

Most of sunscreen is quite greasy and I hate it very much. Especially if I have to wear makeup afterward. :( It feels like wearing a thick mask whole day. But you still have to wear sunscreen to protect your skin, whether you like it or not .

It dries in a semi-matte finish and might look a little bit pale in the beginning, but it will to set and blend with your skintone nicely. Make sure to give it enough time before you put your makeup on.

Here's a step by step how to apply the UV Under Base
Compared to their previous UV Under Base Mousse, this PORERASER series could cover your pores more and make your skin smooth like baby's skin. Sunscreen and face primer in a go. :D Now let's see how good it could cover my pores.
Can you notice how my pores are covered and looks smooth in an instant?

I like its texture so much and how did it brighten up my complexion. It also saves so much time because you can put your sunscreen and primer together. After putting the PORERASER, you can apply your make-up directly. I usually only put a layer of BB cream for my everyday makeup and it even feels really nice in hot weather. It doesn't feel sticky or uncomfortable whatsoever. Not forget to mention that it has a high SPF too which is enough for daily use and I love it so much <3

The only thing that might bother is it contains silicone. It is not really surprising for me. But for those who have an allergy with silicone should be careful. And remember to cleanse you face if you're using any sunscreen or makeup! Because you don't wanna grow acnes on your face, okay?

WHAT I LOVE
- Light texture
-Smooth finish
- Not sticky

WHAT I DON'T REALLY LOVE
- Expensive

Although it's quite expensive (cost around $50), I think it's really worthy since I have a sensitive skin and most of sunscreen break me out so bad. Moreover, they also got different types of UV Under Base that you can choose based on your needs. :) As for me, it will never hurts to invest on a good skincare products.

You can find out more about this UV Under Base here.

Don't forget to put on your sunscreen today, girls :)
