Looking Bold with Maybelline the Loaded Bolds

It's been a while since I get my hands on any Maybelline lippies product though I'd been a loyal customer of their other products, especially for their eyeliners. I personally think that Maybelline Indonesia is doing a great job lately by releasing bunch of new products. One of their latest are the 12 shades from the Loaded Bolds range. This is probably the most playful collection I'd ever seen from a drugstore brand since you could expect extreme and unusual color.

Innisfree No Sebum Powder Review

This is one of my best find in 2016 which I had mentioned here previously. I used to love loose powder back then as they are lightweight and but most of loose powder come in bulky packaging and not travel friendly. I'd read a lot of good reviews about Innisfree No Sebum Powder, especially for the oil control but again still hesitated to try. I got this powder simply because it was on sale when I was about to make purchase at one of local online store, so I actually had no plan or any big expectation for it. Perhaps fate has brought us together lol.

Innisfree No Sebum Powder comes in simple mint green packaging with a matte finish and pretty small if I would say. I like it since most of loose powder are quite bulky although in other words you'll get less amount of powder. There's a shifter and small puff included in it. The puff is a bit to thick for my liking as it's kinda stiff and hard to use so I usually stick with my powder brush.

What's on My Top List in 2016

I rarely make any best buy or best find product list. It's kinda hard to decide what is the best, simply because I'm easily bored and always tempted to try on new makeup items. So these items are probably my current fave that I would love to repurchase ... well if I didn't find a better replacement though hehe. Anyway, some of them are not new released item but oh well, who knows there are some people who aren't aware of these good things, just like me. I decided to do for the makeup category only as I haven't found my best skincare routine.

Witch's Pouch Easy Drawing Gel Eyebrow Review

Here is one of an interesting item I got from Althea earlier this year. Witch's Pouch Easy Drawing Gel Eyebrow. If you notice, I rarely use any brow products since I have pretty thick natural brows. I know brows are extremely essentials but I only fill in my brows when I wear full makeup. I usually use dark brown eyeshadow to fill them in therefore when I saw this product on Althea, I'm pretty excited because at the moment gel brow was such a hype.

Too Cool for School Art School Sfumato Review

I usually stick to my big palette when it comes to eyeshadow. Well by the time I'm writing this post, I just realised that I never purchased any palettes since my first one. I'm happy with my palette but as you could guess, big eyeshadow palettes ARE NOT travel friendly. I could not imagine myself carrying the palette inside my bag, not forget to mention the risk of these eyeshadows could be ruined at anytime. Therefore, I'm pretty excited when Charis let me try on this duo eyeshadow from Too Cool for School.

Wardah C-Defense DD Cream Review

Untuk aktivitas sehari-hari, aku termasuk yang jarang banget pakai make-up lengkap. Biasanya aku hanya mengandalkan BB Cream atau BB Cushion dan bedak terus pakai lipbalm atau lipstick supaya nggak terlihat pucat. Aku lebih prefer memakai BB Cream daripada foundation karena formulanya lebih ringan tapi tetap bisa membuat tampilan wajah terlihat fresh dan nggak kusam.

Seiring berjalannya waktu, trend BB Cream  mulai berkembang dengan munculnya kehadiran CC Cream dan DD Cream. Kebetulan, beberapa waktu yang lalu aku sempat dikirimi Wardah C-Defense DD Cream oleh Sociolla. Nah, ini pertanyaan yang paling sering muncul, apa sih bedanya DD Cream dengan BB dan CC Cream? Aku coba jelasin secara singkat ya.

BB Cream (Beauty Balm) adalah light makeup dengan kandungan skincare di dalamnya.
CC Cream (Color Correcting) adalah cream yang berfungsi untuk menyeimbangkan warna kulit yang kurang merata pada wajah, misalnya redness akibat jerawat atau warna skintone yang tidak merata.
DD Cream adalah singkatan dari Daily Defense atau Dynamic Do All. Biasanya DD Cream ini dilengkapi dengan SPF, anti-aging, dan lightening properties sekaligus punya coverage yang cukup baik. Seperti namanya, DD Cream ini bisa dibilang all in one product yang bisa digunakan setiap hari.

Berhubung aku juga belum pernah cobain DD Cream, aku juga lumayan penasaran deh. Salut banget untuk Wardah yang update dengan produk kosmetik masa kini.

Wardah C-Defense DD Cream ini dikemas dalam ukuran 20 ml. Lumayan kecil jadi cukup praktis untuk dibawa dan cocok buat yang baru mau coba-coba produk makeup. Seperti DD Cream pada umumnya, Wardah C-Defense ini merupakan kombinasi lightening, tabir surya, dan antioksidan untuk kulit tampak bercahaya dengan kandungan sebagai berikut :

• Vitamin B3 untuk membantu membuat kulit tampak cerah. 
• Vitamin E sebagai antioksidan.
• Allatoin untuk membantu regenerasi alami kulit. 
• SPF 30 untuk perlindungan optimal terhadap sinar UV. 

Wardah C-Defense DD Cream ini tersedia dalam dua pilihan warna yaitu Light dan Natural. Shade Light ini warnanya cocok banget di skintone aku dan setelah beberapa jam pemakaian, warnanya nggak berubah menjadi lebih gelap (oxidize).

Awalnya aku mikir coveragenya Wardah DD Cream ini bakalan light banget, ternyata coveragenya termasuk medium dan rasanya ringan jadi cocok banget untuk dipakai sehari-hari. Buat anak kuliahan atau yang masih sekolah, aku recommend banget untuk coba Wardah DD Cream ini. Kalau kalian butuh coverage lebih untuk daerah undereye atau bekas jerawat yang membandel, tinggal pakai concealer aja.

Sedikit kekurangannya buat aku adalah bagian tutup packagingnya cepet banget kelihatan kotor karena bagian ujung tubenya transparan dan creamnya sering ngumpul di bagian ujung tutupnya, jadi harus agak sering dibersihkan supaya nggak banyak gumpalan yang mengering di bagian tutupnya.

Overall, Wardah C-Defense DD Cream ini recommended banget untuk pemakaian sehari-hari. Harganya pun cukup terjangkau, kalau nggak salah sekitar Rp 30.000,00 saja. Cocok buat kalian yang punya dana terbatas untuk belanja makeup ataupun lagi mencari-cari base makeup yang cocok. Purbasari Lipstick Color Matte New Shade No. 91 - 95 Swatches and Review

Sekitar awal tahun ini, aku sempat baca soal Purbasari Lipstick Color Matte yang booming banget di tengah maraknya trend lipstick matte. Sayangnya aku belum kesampaian mencoba soalnya setiap kali mampir ke drugstore pasti selalu kehabisan stock warna yang aku inginkan dan akhirnya kelupaan deh buat nyobain lipstick matte yang satu ini. Kebetulan belum lama ini aku sempat lihat adsnya Purbasari bahwa mereka baru saja mengeluarkan lima shade warna baru dan pas banget waktu aku cek ke Guardian semua warnanya masih lengkap, jadi lah aku langsung kalap beli semua warnanya hehehe.

Purbasari Lipstick Color Matte ini sudah sering banget dirave oleh teman-teman blogger. Sejauh yang aku tahu, selain harganya yang cukup terjangkau, pigmentasinya sendiri cukup oke dan yang paling penting nggak membuat bibir jadi lebih kering. Jadi makin penasaran deh. Sebelumnya, Purbasari Lipstick Color Matte ini sudah mengeluarkan sepuluh warna dengan tone yang beragam mulai dari nude yang agak kecoklatan dan pink yang agak keunguan. Untuk shade 91-95 yang baru ini, tone warnanya cenderung lebih ke arah warna pink cerah dan merah gelap.

Moist and Colorful Lips with ULTIMA II Delicate Lipstick

There is no such thing as having too much lipsticks. I am so agree with this quotes! Lipstick is one of my little secret when I need to dress up my look instantly... but imagine what if your lipstick ended up drying your lips? Saatnya Bersinar Sepanjang Hari Bersama Marina

Padatnya aktivitas sehari-hari seringkali membuat kita lupa meluangkan waktu untuk selalu tampil fresh setiap saat. Belum lagi ditambah dengan polusi dan cuaca panas yang mudah membuat wajah terlihat kusam dan berminyak. Pastinya kita nggak mau dong terlihat kucel apalagi kalau mendadak harus menghadiri acara penting.  

Salah satu tips andalanku supaya bisa tampil fresh setiap hari adalah selalu bawa powder di tas! Kenapa? Biasanya aku lebih sering membawa compact powder atau two way cake karena biasanya loose powder agak repot untuk dibawa bepergian.

Hari ini aku mau memperkenalkan salah satu produk terbaru dari rangkaian Marina Smooth and Glow, yaitu Marina Smooth and Glow UV Two Way Cake. Two way cake ini merupakan perpaduan antara foundation dan bedak dalam bentuk padat. 

"Bedak dengan formula yang dapat menutup noda pada wajah serta tahan lama. Mudah merata pada wajah serta memberikan tampilan wajah cerah alami dan bercahaya." 

FORMULA

Sebelum mencoba suatu produk, biasanya kita akan memastikan dulu ingredients atau formula yang terkandung di dalamnya. Nah berikut ini adalah beberapa ingredients dari Marina Smooth and Glow UV Two Way Cake.

• Natural Microfine Powder yang dapat menghasilkan tekstur dan tampilan yang sangat halus, sehingga bedak lebih mudah menempel,menyamarkan noda, terlihat natural, nyaman digunakan dan tahan lama. 
• SPF 20 PA++ dengan perlindungan UVB yang melindungi wajah terbakar akibat paparan sinar matahari dan perlindungan UVA yang membantu menghambat penggelapan kulit wajah. 
• Vitamin C untuk membantu mencerahkan kulit wajah sehingga tampak lebih putih.
• Ekstrak Mulberry yang berfungsi untuk menjaga kehalusan kulit wajah.
• Telah teruji klinis sehingga aman untuk digunakan.

PACKAGING

Packaging Marina Smooth and Glow UV Two Way Cake ini didominasi dengan warna pink dan terbuat dari bahan plastik yang cukup kokoh. Two way cake ini juga dikemas dengan cantik di dalam kotak yang juga bernuansa pink hehehe pokoknya girly banget deh.

Packagingnya memiliki dua partisi yang berbeda, partisi bagian atas berisi two way cake dan partisi bagian bawah berfungsi sebagai tempat penyimpanan sponge. Personally, aku cukup suka dengan design packagingnya yang ringkas karena biasanya two way cake yang sponge-nya dipisah seperti ini cenderung agak bulky.

Marina Smooth and Glow UV Two Way Cake ini tersedia dalam tiga pilihan warna yaitu Ivory, Peach, dan Natural. Nah yang akan aku review kali ini adalah shade #14 Natural.

Seperti two way cake pada umumnya, Marina Smooth and Glow UV Two Way Cake ini bisa digunakan dengan dua cara, yaitu dengan menggunakan spons kering dan spons basah. Untuk mendapatkan hasil coverage yang lebih maksimal bisa coba menggunakan spons basah ya. Two way cake ini juga bisa digunakan sebagai finishing powder setelah menggunakan base make-up dan biasanya aku mengaplikasikannya dengan menggunakan brush supaya hasilnya lebih natural. Untuk sehari-hari, biasanya aku langsung memakai two way cake dengan spons kering. 

 Kalau dilihat dari swatch di punggung tangan, kelihatannya lebih terang ya soalnya warna kulit tanganku memang sedikit lebih gelap karena setiap hari masih sering terpapar dengan sinar matahari.

Hasilnya? Instantly brightening my face! Wajahku jadi terlihat lebih bright dan bersinar tapi nggak too much seperti memakai topeng. Kilap dan noda-noda pada wajah juga ikut tersamarkan. Untuk coveragenya tergolong medium karena bisa meratakan skintone dan redness area pada wajah. Cocok banget dipakai sehari-hari bahkan untuk kalian yang masih sekolah dan biasanya nggak diperbolehkan pakai makeup ke sekolah hehehe. Cukup dipakaikan tipis-tipis aja dengan sponge kering atau face brush ya. Untuk mengcover noda-noda yang membandel, aplikasikan dengan spons basah di beberapa area tersebut.

Berdasarkan pengalaman pribadiku, Marina Smooth and Glow UV Two Way Cake ini bisa bertahan sampai 4-5 jam untuk kulit oily, sedangkan untuk kulit kering bisa tahan sampai 8 jam. Kulitku termasuk jenis kulit kombinasi jadi biasanya bagian T-Zone lebih cepat terlihat oily dan bedaknya lebih cepat pudar dibandingkan di bagian lainnya.   

Another good news is....Marina Smooth and Glow UV Two Way Cake ini dijual dengan kisaran harga mulai dari Rp 25.000,00! Sudah tersedia juga hampir di seluruh hypermarket seperti Carrefour, Giant, Hypermart, Lotte Mart,dan swalayan besar lainnya. This little baby had been raved by many people by its amazing oil control. Even my friend had proved it and totally love it. So this is a must buy on my list. *waiting for another sale*

BB Cushion trend is still around. I had to admit it is very convenient to have one in your makeup pouch. My fellow beauty blogger friends also told me how good it is on them and they even had repurchased again! I am not a big fan of dewy look but it looks seriously promising <3

 I was telling my blogger friend, Vheii, how dry my skin lately, especially around cheeks area (I have combination skin). She was kindly tell me about this product and let me scoop some of her Laneige Water Sleeping Pack. It works like magic! Seriously. Anyone with dry skin problems should try this out. Definitely will buy after this.

4. Shu Uemura Lightbulb Foundation

If you read throughout my blog, I rarely use foundation but BB Cream in most of occasion. I don't know what get into me lately but I was thinking about having a good foundation in my stash. I don't wear makeup for whole day even if I do, BB Cream will be enough even they will be completely faded by the end of the day. But I found there are several condition where I need my makeup to last long all day. Therefore my pick goes to Shu Uemura Lightbulb Foundation. It is said the foundation is pretty lightweight and comes with dewy look. I don't really mind with the dewy look since I can always set it with powder.

5. Sleek Face Contour Kit

This one came from my old wishlist. Apparently, I haven't had a chance to buy it since I still have my old contour powder and it still works perfectly fine. I just dropped my contour powder some time ago and I guess I need to stock on a new one. Another reason is because they had provided a highlighter inside the kit. I was quite tempted to try on strobing makeup too.

It is pretty much all but I guess if I dig in further I will come up with more thing so for now I will end up it here. I am a pretty bothersome buyer lol so I will make sure to do a proper research before I buy something. I used to search things on various sites and blogs. I hate to admit that all the information that you need is out there but it's kinda hard to sort the useful things for you. For example, when I find a foundation swatch or review, I need to make sure that the author had a similar skintone with me. It is very troublesome especially if most of the reviewers aren't Asian since the skintone difference are very obvious.

If you properly read from my list above, Female Daily has added a new feature on their site which is an archive of review from their forum members. It concluded a lot of review under different categories. You can also easily sort it from your skintone or skin type. It is pretty easy in doing research so I think you can try it out when you're looking for a review. In the same time, you can also write a reviews about product that you'll love.

Makeup Collaboration : Lovely Valentine Look

Hello everyone! I'm back with another tutorial for Valentine's Day. I'm doing a makeup collaboration with my blogger friends. ^o^ This is my first collaboration so I'm really excited!

I was quite shocked when I know the last time I make a tutorial was on last year Valentine's Day. Hahahaha hopefully I could come up with more makeup tutorials this year <3 

Review Dr. Jart+ V7 Beauty Balm

BB Cream is one of makeup products that I used the most. Therefore, I stocked up several kinds of different BB Cream to be used in different occasion. Well I think it explain enough how I love using BB Cream than foundation. ;) I love how BB Cream could blend into your skin nicely and feels lighter on your skin for everyday use. 

Dr. Jart+ V7 Beauty Balm

This is the my first time trying on Dr. Jart+ BB Cream. Years ago, I was quite curious about this brand but I rarely saw any review about their products. :3 I got their lates BB Cream which is V7 Beauty Balm. V7 means seven vitamins are extracted in this product. It also claimed to have a perfect protection from UV/UB with a natural looking coverage.  Kinda excited to see how good this BB Cream could be.

The packaging is made from a plastic squeeze tube. It's really easy to control how much products that you need and more hygienic . 

SWATCH & TEXTURE

It comes in one shade and has a light beige color which suitable for people with medium or fair skintone. But it blend into my skintone perfectly so I don't have any problem with it.

It has a really light and watery texture. You only need a tiny amout and it can be easily spread with your fingers. Suprisingly, it does provide  medium coverage. I think the coverage will be poor since the texture is kinda light.You can build up the coverage by layering it on some area that need more coverage. I don't recommend you to do many layers since it could make your face looks like wearing an opera makeup.

It looks white under strong lighting or flash lamp. I guess it's because this product has SPF properties. Actually, it looks really natural under natural lighting and blend really well into my skin. It also does a great job in reducing red marks and uneven skintone. My skin is getting brighter in an instant <3  It also could reduce dark spots or acne scars a little bit, but I suggest you to use a concealer for a better results. :)

You can leave it alone without any powder because it dries into matte finish. But you can set it with a darker shade powder if you think it is too light. Looks more natural now, right? :D

I love it! This is perfect for daily use with buidable coverage and UV protection. It feels really light and quite moisturizing too especially because the weather is getting cold (and wet) lately. Moreover, it doesn't break me out at all!! I'm so glad! xD I was kinda worry because sometimes BB Cream could break me out so bad. The staying power is also really nice even when you're into a super hot weather. Remember not to rub your face in such a hot condition, but tap it with gentle motion. The BB Cream will last longer on your face :)

YSL Lotte Shopping Avenue Grand Opening

Last week, Yves Saint Lauren expanded their branch by opening the newest counter on Lotte Shopping Avenue. Well, it's one of new shopping venue in Jakarta and to be honest, I've never been there so I'm really excited because I'd seen tons of my friend's photo there <3

The counter's location is near the west lobby. Luckily I enter from that lobby and found YSL counter   immediately ^^

For their new counter celebration, YSL were having a special makeup demo with Mr. Gunaldi and also giving out free samples for those who come to the counter with YSL flyer :D I am so excited to browse through their counter.

Mr. Gunaldi was doing a makeover which probably only takes 15 minutes. So fast o.o

I love the lip color! Don't you agree? :D

 After the makeup demo, all the beauty blogger are free to browse through the whole counter.

I tried to create the makeup look with four different color. Combination of pink, purple, and teal green... all of them are my favorite color! I also create a pinkish flower petals around my eyelid.
