Innisfree No Sebum Powder Review

This is one of my best find in 2016 which I had mentioned here previously. I used to love loose powder back then as they are lightweight and but most of loose powder come in bulky packaging and not travel friendly. I'd read a lot of good reviews about Innisfree No Sebum Powder, especially for the oil control but again still hesitated to try. I got this powder simply because it was on sale when I was about to make purchase at one of local online store, so I actually had no plan or any big expectation for it. Perhaps fate has brought us together lol.

Innisfree No Sebum Powder comes in simple mint green packaging with a matte finish and pretty small if I would say. I like it since most of loose powder are quite bulky although in other words you'll get less amount of powder. There's a shifter and small puff included in it. The puff is a bit to thick for my liking as it's kinda stiff and hard to use so I usually stick with my powder brush.

Laser Hair Removal Experience with De Hair !

Do you have any concern about unwanted hair? Perhaps most of women did. I'm personally okay with hair on my arm or legs since they are pretty thin and slightly invisible. The only area that I concern is my underarms. The hair around my underarm area is not thick to begin with but still it is visible especially if I'm wearing sleeveless tops. It is very disturbing when I need to regularly shave or wax every time I want to wear sleeveless clothes. Besides, it is painful and hair tends to grow thicker than before which is another nightmare for girls. That's why I always curious with permanent hair removal.

Last month, KBJ and De Hair kindly invited me to try on their laser hair removal treatment. I was so excited since I never tried this kind of treatment before. I make an appointment and visited De Hair Laser Treatment at Mall of Indonesia, Kelapa Gading. I do recommend you to call and book an appointment before you come, especially on weekend.

The treatment room is pretty spacious and they gave us a sleeveless top to change into. They will also give you a pair of glasses before doing the treatment. The process is pretty similar with IPL. First, the targeted area will be shaved and the therapist will start applying a thick of cooling gel. If you're wondering what is the difference laser with IPL, so here it is. The therapist will set a certain amount of laser power for certain amount of time and they will continuously rub the targeted area with laser.



Talking about pain, it is painful. Not literally so much pain that will make you scream but do not expect the tiny ant bites just like when you're doing IPL. I feel sort of burning and tingling sensation in the middle of the process. The pain last me several days before it completely gone. Honestly, I was pretty horrified with the process and kinda afraid to try on laser treatment in the future.

It has been around a month so I think it is the right to see the treatment results. I am totally impressed. The amount of hair have been reduced like 75%! No kidding and it was only one treatment. Seriously, I am very impressed. I don't even notice that I rarely shave for this last one month. There are several strands of hair growing but it is completely unnoticeable since it grows thinner than before. Compared to several IPL treatment that I've been trying before, this laser treatment gives an obvious result, so all the pain I've been gone through is actually paid off.

However the other downside comes from the service. I feel that the therapist didn't communicate a lot to explain about the whole process so I feel like totally clueless and have no idea about what's going on while doing the treatment. They don't even explained what is the after treatment DOs and DON'Ts until I come with tons of questions. Not even asked about whether I have allergies, or my previous treatment history which mostly would be asked. I don't know if the standard for laser hair removal is different but I think the service could have been done better.

The treatment is quite pricey but I think the result is very satisfying and worth to try. Highly recommend this treatment for those who want to get rid of unwanted hair and see a noticeable results in one go.

An Insight of Beauty Rules

The first time I was introduced into the makeup artistry and beauty industry, I was overwhelmed by a lot of things. There are a lot of things I need to understand. When I started to learn about make-up, I don't know the benefits of primer, the importance of countouring, blending, and tons of other make-up techniques. I thought it was normal since it is not my expertise and I only need more practice.

The more I learn about it, the more time I spent to put on my make-up. I'm worry if I didn't do my makeup neatly. There are times I feel kinda frustrated when I didn't get things right or tired when I need to do A-Z thing only to go out with friends.

In graphic design world where I am working on, designers are advised to learn from tons of inspiration in order to deepen their taste and imagination. There are no absolute boundaries about it. There are no guidance about what's good or bad. From what I had experienced, what I usually do is simply take things that I could use and keep the others that I don't need for the other time as a reference.

I think the same rules is applied in my beauty routine. Honestly, I enjoyed learning about the new techniques and trends but in the end I was the one who decide about what kind of look I would like to pull out on myself. 

It is fine to go out without your makeup on.

It is fine to draw an imperfection eyeliner. 

It is fine to wear no lipstick.

It is fine to leave your brows as how it is.

It is fine to have red hair.

It is fine to have a messy buns.

There are nothing wrong with a heavy smokey eyes or red lips, but I would prefer to wear them on occasional events such as wedding party. There are nothing wrong with no makeup look because I want things to be simple for my daily routine.

The same thing goes for how I love dressed in pastel color and flower pattern when I'm feeling kinda sweet or the boyish kinda look when I go out with the boys. I love how I define myself in various way and I am proud of it.

I have my own preference when it comes to how I describe myself. If there's anyone who talk unpleasantly about how you do things, just take it as a good critics. We will not get hurt from learning though. 

Last but not least, have your own confidence shine through whatever you put on the outside and be yourself :)

I had read so many good reviews about The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil but since I'd failed with several products before, I didn't have much hopes in it. I was simply thinking I will only give this one a try before I go to dermatologist.

This is the first time I made a video in Bahasa so it's kinda awkward. I will explain a little bit about the video.   Kiranti is a Indonesian's herbal drink that helps woman to reduce PMS. The main story tells about women's monthly pain (a.k.a PMS) and how to 'bear' with it.

Well yeah, Pat said that I looks like the angry dinosaur when I'm on my period. Hahaha it can't be helped because it's extremely painful >_<

 I decided that I wanna do something before working on next Monday. Yes, I'm finally employed LOL. I'll probably busy til the end of the year. I had another plan for another animation project and hopefully I could finish it before Christmas. ^^ Of course I'll be doing some beauty related post too hehe.

Review Dr. Jart+ V7 Beauty Balm

BB Cream is one of makeup products that I used the most. Therefore, I stocked up several kinds of different BB Cream to be used in different occasion. Well I think it explain enough how I love using BB Cream than foundation. ;) I love how BB Cream could blend into your skin nicely and feels lighter on your skin for everyday use. 

Dr. Jart+ V7 Beauty Balm

This is the my first time trying on Dr. Jart+ BB Cream. Years ago, I was quite curious about this brand but I rarely saw any review about their products. :3 I got their lates BB Cream which is V7 Beauty Balm. V7 means seven vitamins are extracted in this product. It also claimed to have a perfect protection from UV/UB with a natural looking coverage.  Kinda excited to see how good this BB Cream could be.

The packaging is made from a plastic squeeze tube. It's really easy to control how much products that you need and more hygienic . 

SWATCH & TEXTURE

It comes in one shade and has a light beige color which suitable for people with medium or fair skintone. But it blend into my skintone perfectly so I don't have any problem with it.

It has a really light and watery texture. You only need a tiny amout and it can be easily spread with your fingers. Suprisingly, it does provide  medium coverage. I think the coverage will be poor since the texture is kinda light.You can build up the coverage by layering it on some area that need more coverage. I don't recommend you to do many layers since it could make your face looks like wearing an opera makeup.

It looks white under strong lighting or flash lamp. I guess it's because this product has SPF properties. Actually, it looks really natural under natural lighting and blend really well into my skin. It also does a great job in reducing red marks and uneven skintone. My skin is getting brighter in an instant <3  It also could reduce dark spots or acne scars a little bit, but I suggest you to use a concealer for a better results. :)

You can leave it alone without any powder because it dries into matte finish. But you can set it with a darker shade powder if you think it is too light. Looks more natural now, right? :D

I love it! This is perfect for daily use with buidable coverage and UV protection. It feels really light and quite moisturizing too especially because the weather is getting cold (and wet) lately. Moreover, it doesn't break me out at all!! I'm so glad! xD I was kinda worry because sometimes BB Cream could break me out so bad. The staying power is also really nice even when you're into a super hot weather. Remember not to rub your face in such a hot condition, but tap it with gentle motion. The BB Cream will last longer on your face :)

Review : Face Mask from Serambi Botani

I was dropping by at this shop when I visited Artha Gading Mall long time ago. My friend was pretty interested to look inside and she found this mask. She asked me to try the mask together and in the end we bought two of them home.

Serambi Botani is a shop that sells product that originally made by Institut Pertanian Bogor. I can sense the 'organics' feel that they offered just from their interiors.

Okay now back with the mask. Actually, it is a traditional powder mask and you need to mix it with rose water or mineral water (yes, the one that you use for drinking). I'm not really excited and kinda pessimistic with this mask at first.

I bought the Tomato and Bengkuang.

The packaging is supposed to be cute. They'd prepared two holes to attach a string and they would look like a mini paper bag. But in fact, there are only holes without string :/

My expectation went even lower after I see what's inside the pack.

I can't differ one to another though.. It looks just the same 

-_- you must be kidding. It looks like some packs of DRUG!

With all the bad things in the beginning, I still finally give it a try. And seriously having a hard time building the mask consistency. :/ not too thick and not too thin. This is the first time that I struggle a lot for a face mask.

After several trial with different consistency, I found out that it still looks thin on my face no matter why. But after it dries, you can see whether it's completely covering your entire face or not. Not forget to mention it has a really weird scent. It's actually non-fragrance but I smell something like flour thingy. I'm personally thing that it would be better if there's a little bit fragrance inside. Well it could help to make us feel relax, right? :3

Let it sit around 15 minutes and you can start to wash your face. Another difficulties appear. It's pretty hard and can't be easily wiped unless you tap many water on your face. #another hardwork

But seriously.. don't judge a book by its cover..

After being washed, my face feels so silky smooth and I'm kinda addicted to use it again LOL! Besides all the bad thing that I'd mention before, the result isn't that bad. If you don't mind to go through the difficulties, it's not a bad choice to give it a try :)

That's a lot.o.o From what I know, CC cream more into correcting your skin with skincare benefits which offer less coverage compared to her sister, BB Cream. Most of them offers silky smooth skin or glowy skin. Perhaps it is more into makeup base although some of CC Cream provides sheer coverage.  Etude House CC Cream comes in two different variant which is #1 Silky and #2 Glowy.

Mine is in #2 Glow. Kindly remind you that I was never get into glowy makeup look. So this is something new for me :D

Unlike BB Cream, it has pearly white color with tiny beads that will adjust with your skin color after you blend in. The texture is kinda thick but after you blend it, it feels really light. Note that you also need to work quickly with this CC Cream because it could easily dries. 

.. and freaking white on my hand because I put too much products. You can see that it creates a glowy layer that makes you skin appears more natural. Glowy makeup lover will totally love this :)

Learned from my past mistakes, I only put tiny amount on my face.

Seems not much different but it looks glowy in real life and also helps to even out my skin tone nicely. You can see around my nose and eye area. It become more even after I apply the CC Cream. Lesson learned! Do not put too much products unless you wanna be freaking white. It feels lighter and moisturizing compared to BB Cream.

It is also a nice base before you put on your BB Cream. I love to pair it together with Precious Mineral BB Cream. Looks really nice and natural. Since I haven't tried any CC Cream, I cannot do much comparation. Anyway, this one is worth for those who love glowy makeup look :) Seems like I started to love glowy makeup look now haha.

Review Tony Moly Baby Doll Pot Concealer

Hello.. I think I've been stop buying makeup since my thesis started but I found this baby on Tony Moly store and they're having a big promotion only on September! Buy 1 get 1 free for the same products o.o lucky!

Anyway, I was tempted to buy another products. I have a very limited budget at the moment and decided to buy concealer together with Jesslyn.

Normally cost you $7 but it was only $3.5. Although when it was not on sale, it's quite cheap compared to the other from Korean Brand's store in Indonesia.

Fweegie convinced me that this concealer is really good even she stocked up for herself LOL.

So let's take a look

It come in a mini glass-pot packaging and a simple white plastic cap with Tony Moly logo written on it. Quite classy compared to other brand's that usually comes up with super cute packaging. However, it is not a good choice to bring it along in my makeup pouch since it's pretty bulky :(

I was actually not a fan of jar or pot packaging, but if it works then I would bear with it LOL. Moreover, the pot is quite small so I don't think that sticking your finger in is the best way to take it out. You can use a cotton bud or a spatula to take it out.

Super creamy consistency. This is the main reason why I bought it. *_*

Swatch

I got mine in #1 Light Beige and I think #2 Natural Beige fits me better. I was trying #2 tester and sadly they don't have #2 for the buy 1 get 1 promotion :'(

Results

It has a really nice consistency to work with and I suggest you to use a concealer brush to achieve a better result. It could cover my spots without cracking but noted that it will not work on bumps. It will only eventuate them more.

The reason why I rarely buy concealer is I don't find the one that good enough. Most of them are really pricey and killing my wallet. But if you're on a tight budget, I think this one is worth enough to try. Just make sure you match your shade.

Sariayu Power Lunch Event : From Indonesia to the World

Last week, Sariayu invited beauty bloggers and press to celebrate their three biggest achievements and created a new history in their journey as a local cosmetic brand. Well for Indonesian people, we must have been familiar with this local brand, especially for their decorative products such as eyeshadow and lipstick. I'd been a fan of their eyeshadow collection that had a great pigmentation color with such affordable price :D

This beauty box contains a palette with eyeshadow and lipstick plus a shimmering powder which are inspired from women's diversity from five different continents : Asia, America, Africa, Europe, and Australia. I am so excited when I heard that they are going to launch something new.

It's My TRESemme Keratin Smooth Experience

Few weeks ago, Fashionese Daily kindly invited me to TRESemme Launching Event. I was wondering about what kind of new product it is.

First of all, we were all gathered in Anne Wijaya Salon and get the treatment with TRESemme's new product, the Keratin Smooth. ;) 

It was really crowded at the moment but they did a really good service since they could handle everyone nicely :D Fashionese Daily's team and Anne Wijaya herself kindly greet us one by one. And proudly to say that we're the first one who experienced the TRESemme Keratin Smooth. First impression after using the product, of course it makes my hair feels really nice and not drying.

I and other bloggers were getting our hair styled before the main event begin. Then we moved along to Kempinski Hotel, where the main event took place.

The New Keratin Smooth variant consist of three products which is shampoo, conditioner, and heat protection spray. 

The dress code is to be gorgeous in red, black, and gold. So I decide to wear black. 

Do I look gorgeous? I rarely get my hair curled so I think I look totally different haha.

We're welcomed with light snack and beverages. And we're taken to this gorgeous room which is dominated with my favorite color, RED. 

Feel like in the movie to had my dinner in such a long table with so many people <3

About Keratin Smooth

TRESemme revealed that people have to deal with new hair problem besides dry hair, splits ends, dandruff, etc. It is one of the main factor from our bad hair day. Yes, they're FRIZZY and HARD TO MANAGE. Especially if their hair is under chemical process such as curling, coloring, and many more.

Therefore TRESemme tried to come up with an easy hair-care solution, especially for those who are busy and don't have enough time to visit salons or do special treatment. They packed all the goodness from Keratin, one of the hair protein, into daily hair products such as shampoo and conditioner. They also created a heat protection spray to prevent your hair damaging from the daily styling process, such as curling and ironing. Moreover, the price range is quite affordable in my opinion. It started from Rp 18.000,00 - Rp 50.000,00 (around $2 - $5). It might be the average price as for the shampoo and conditioner, but for the heat protection spray ?? o_o Most of heat protection spray that I know is imported (plus expensive) and sometimes come in such a tiny amount. Now everybody should have one LOL.

We were also given many insights from hair specialist and famous hair stylist, Mr Chandra Gupta, about how to take care our hair properly. For example for people with long hair like mine. DO NOT towel dry your hair roughly as it could damage your hair seriously. It is recommended to set your hair dryer to the lowest temperature to dry your hair. And NEVER tie your hair when it was still wet or damp because it could damage your hair too. 

I was quite surprised to know that I'd done wrong to my hair. :'( Glad to learn more from TRESemme's Team and all the experts! 

And not forget to mention the fabulous dinner that I had.

And what impressed me more is I feel my hair is not tangled or hard to manage in the next day. As you can see, they curl my hair but it doesn't feel stiff at all. I could still comb them properly. Personally love this new range from TRESemme especially for the heat protection spray <3
